NOVEMBER WITH YIC
Dear YIC members, we are happy to present the monthly newsleter, which will tell you about our organization activities done in November.

YIC Info day

YIC's serial info day took place on November 21.  During the meeting with the help of human library method attendees had an opportunity to learn about foundation history of YIC, about its activities and local, international projects implemented by the organization.

  Erasmus+ Youth. Info Centre

 Face to face meeting


On November 20, Erasmus + Youth. Info Centrre representatives had a face-to-face meeting with representatives of the Shirak Diocese Social-Educational Center, during which the component of "European Solidarity Corps" programme - "European Voluntary Activities"  and details about it were presented.

Erasmus+ Info meetings 

 

Erasmus+ info meetings were held at Shirak State University in Gyumri on October 31, and in Yerevan National Agrarian University on November 6-7. During it youth opportunities and university development programmes were presented, as well as several speeches were made about "European Solidarity Corps" and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's" programmes.
European Voluntary Service

New EVS opportunity

We have new Long - term EVS opportunity in Romania, the purpose of which is to raise children’s interest in education by applying innovative mechanisms and actions during lessons. Application deadline is over, about the participants of program you’ll be informed later.
Martina Hornickova

Martina Hornickova, besides supporting YIC various projects, is also involved in social work at the Youth House.
Josef Banas 
Within the framework of the EVS programme, YIC volunteer Josef Banánas from Slovakia is conducting English language courses in Bavra from November.
Anna Khlghatyan

Anna Khlghatyan will be volunteering in Greece for a year within the framework of the EVS.
We are glad to inform that Armen Hakobyan will be volunteering for one year at the German Federal Volunteer Service Act (BFDG) in the framework of the South-North component of the weltwärts programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Mobility with YIC
This month “Erasmus+” international training course “YOUth on Board” for people who are directly working with youth and implementing projects under the “Erasmus+” Programme, to be able to provide a proper first aid assistance and to control their stress in emergency situations has launched in Poland. 

The participant from Armenia was Marieta Gevorgyan, a YIC member and World Vision Sponsorship Coordinator.
Youth House

 

In November “Youth House” youngsters went to Yerevan. During the day they had study visits to the National Assembly, Matenadaran, Tsitsernakaberd and also they were in Cascade and Republic Square. The idea of the initiative was proposed and supported by the deputy of the National Assembly: Lena Nazaryan.

 

This month “Youth House” team also joined the Media literacy week made by Ministry of Education and Science of RA and “Media Initiatives Centre”, during which different workshops and a study visit to GALA TV were organized.

 

This month the following clubs were over: “English Intermediate Club”, “English Club for Beginners” and “Computer Literacy Club”. The most active participants received their certificates.

 

This month “Tasty Week” was also planned for youngsters, when they discussed healthy lifestyle and secrets of healthy food. We prepared and enjoyed delicious food.

 

This month two “Birthright Armenia” volunteers joined us, Ararat Nar and Zaruhi Karapetyan. Zaruhi is leading new Russian language club and Ararat is doing different workshops about healthy lifestyle.

 

Universal Children’s Day was celebrated on November 20th and “Youth House” also joined the initiative called #GoBlue of UNICEF by presenting #GoBlue photo gallery made by Centre’s beneficiaries and YH team.

 

The centre youngsters presented the centre during YIC Info Day.

 

In November open doors event was organized for parents. Parents got acquainted with the services offered by the centre and took part in the daily life of the youngsters.

 

This month we had two study visits in the centre. One group was the active members of "Women for Development" NGO and the second group was participants from the "Beyond borders" project.

We summed up November with the participation of “Youth House” youngsters on "#Hearmetoo Adolescent and Youth Networking Event” organized by UN.

 
INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY-2018
